Master Plan for Leh discussed | News of Ladakh

LEH, Feb 24: On the third day the General Council of LAHDC meeting discussed the draft Master Plan prepared by a consultancy company.

The company made presentation of the project plan. The Deputy Commissioner, Leh district, Ajeet Kumar Sahu also gave a resume of the Master Plan for Greater Leh and threw light on its salient features.

While speaking on the plan, Superintending Engineer, Leh said the aim of the Master Plan is to achieve appropriate balance between the spatial allocations for various activities in Leh.

The Greater Leh Master Plan has been formulated while keeping in view the projected population in 2040 and ensure its smooth and swift growth keeping in view all the future requirements.

The important aspects like offices, tourist and recreational complex, sports and inter-state bus terminal, commercial hubs and all other development activities in the years to come.

CEC, LAHDC, Leh, Chhering Dorje expressed thanks for the company and the participants for useful deliberations on the Master Plan for Greater Leh.

The meeting was attended by various Executive Councilors of LAHDC, senior officers and prominent citizens.
